42 on Fifth Street has recently been renovated to provide style and comfort at an affordable price.  Inside the main house, we have 3 en suite bedrooms offering privacy and comfort whether you are on business or visiting Johannesburg on holiday.   Each room in the main house has the pressed steel ceilings and polished wooden floors that typify the older original homes in the tree-lined northern suburbs of Johannesburg.  All rooms have a private entrance.

The garden suite is spacious and offers versatile accommodation for couples or guests who prefer additional privacy away from the main house.  There is a fully fitted kitchen adjacent to the suite for those who are looking for a self-catering option.  

We offer delicious continental or full English breakfast in our light and airy breakfast room overlooking the pool.  Alternatively, if you are on business and are needing to attend an early morning meeting, we will provide you with the facility to make tea or coffee and a light snack.

After your full day of sightseeing or business, relax in our comfortable lounge – there is a fire provided on chilly winter evenings.  We also offer a convenient meeting room which can be reserved by arrangement to enable you to have business meetings at the house for up to 8 people.
